He’s got a Ph.D. in history, and he’s currently lecturing at two California universities, but it’s been ages since he’s had a steady source of income. Alison Yin caught up with Tony, who told her what it’s like to hold a doctorate but still be filing for unemployment benefits and using food stamps.
